For my next trick...I present you...Amaterasu! Origin of all that is good and mother to us all!

As you can see, the Ammy head of completely wearable. It is actually large enough to fit around my head, but this photo just reminded me how much of a haircut I need XD

I like how it came out, did have to redo the black cloth behind the eyes twice due to the fact that it was originally too dark.

So about the model, it has a slight fault in it, namely the hind part of the ears. It is too big to fit precisely around the rest of the ears, so you will have to be a bit creative with that part.

And I can't stress this enough: Send me photos of finished models XD I would love to see these models build by others!
I am on a roll! Two models in two days! (don't get used to it though XD)
Once more, this model isn't testbuild by me, because I just do not have the time anymore to testbuild all the models I 'craft' lately.
Does it still count as crafting a model if it is only digital and not actually build? :P

Anyway, the model is a sandbox tiger from World of Warcraft. This model has been sitting on my desk for 3 years now, and now that I can digitally work with stuff during my work hours...I just found it time to actually finish this model!

I have to warn you all though, the spring...is a pain in the ass. I haven't even build it and I can tell you that much.
It isn't as clean as I would normally make my models, but I just couldn't get the spring any different than it is now. So sorry in advance for the pain that will cause you.

As always: Enjoy the build and if there are questions or photos about finished models, let me know!
But now also in addition, if you want a specific model done...leave me a note and I can see what I can do! Lizzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17722721342419353156noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8866561274815317447.post-69936276462076582942013-04-17T13:59:00.003+02:002013-04-17T14:09:35.709+02:00Hellequin Knife

I have been finding some time in between my work to work on digital version of papercrafts. I do not have as much time as I want to also build them all though, but the blog will be more lively again!

This model is the Hellequin knife. It was on my to-do-list for a while now and then an Anonymous reviewer asked for it as well, so I moved it up slightly due to it being a relative simple model.

The model is 'livesized' which means it should fit the hand properly. It is 28cm long.

As always: Enjoy the build and if there are questions or photos about finished models, let me know!
The file can be downloaded here!

So yeah, it has been a while, I know that ^^; The main reason for that is quite simple...I got myself a new job and it has been taking up a LOT of my time! And in whatever free time I had...I've been working with leather to make stuff like this!

But...I haven't forgotten papercraft, not in one bit! And I made my 'come-back' a cute one too!

My new model is a 'life-sized' Lil' Deathwing. Okay, it isn't quite lifesided since if I were REALLY to make it as big as it were in game, I would have to make it 120 cm wide from wing to wing...and I couldn't fit properly through doors then and there is also the fact that it would be hell to carry properly!

So...the model as it is right now is 60 cm wide (wing to wing) and 26 cm high (feet to head). It consists of 17 pages of paper. Not much considering some of my other works, but meh...

I like making such pet models though, so you can expect way more! I think I'll do Frosty up next or so ^^
As always: Enjoy the build and if there are questions or photos about finished models, let me know!Lizzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17722721342419353156noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8866561274815317447.post-69507511658961905052012-01-25T21:56:00.000+01:002012-01-25T21:56:18.342+01:00V for Vendetta Mask

Since I've been into the masks lately, I just couldn't leave this one behind! I haven't had time to build it yet, but I wanted to be uploaded now with all the ACTA and SOPA stuff going on.
And since I've seen too many people wearing those Anonymous masks during demonstrations against these two things...A papercraft version just couldn't be left behind. No better time to make it then now I guess ;)

Good luck building it and as always, photos of it having been created by you are more than welcome!Lizzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17722721342419353156noreply@blogger.com16tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8866561274815317447.post-12337013075705889142012-01-19T21:01:00.000+01:002012-01-19T21:01:56.684+01:00Hellequin Mask

The model can be downloaded here.

This papercraft is the Hellequin Mask, more precisely, the Elite version of the Hellequin Mask. While I love the Hellequin as character, I love the elite mask of her more than the normal version...and that is all because of the feather... that damn feather that took more hours in having to cut out all the pieces than the rest of the mask together!
(And yes, I know that there are 2 more version containing the feather and not just the Elite version, but the model I got it from was completely Elite, with the hood and everything, so this is from the Elite so there :P)

I also like the background from the Hellequin (aka Caha) as well as from her brother Cahin...so expect his mask (and hood) soon as well! (soon is relative...can be next month, can be in another 5 months, but it WILL get here!)

The model is 'life-sized' or at least, it is scaled to fit my head. That means it is 17 cm wide. It fits perfectly, but thanks to the narrow eye-holes (and the fact I put fabric behind it) it might irritate on the eye unless you put something on the bride of the nose on the back of the mask to keep the mask slightly lifted from your face if you are indeed planning on wearing it.

And I can't stress this enough: Send me photos of finished models XD I would love to see these models build by others!Lizzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17722721342419353156noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8866561274815317447.post-39159170843018263922011-12-19T17:15:00.003+01:002011-12-19T17:16:45.620+01:00Apple of Eden

The Apple of Eden from Assassin's Creed. (or well, at least one of them :P if you want all, just make 5 more after this one XD)

Not a hard model to make, but fun nonetheless! Included in the files are both the Apple and the stand. The stand is optional, but I liked making it. You can change the colors on there if you do not want a black stand for the Apple.

This papercraft is 12.5 centimeters high, without the stand.Lizzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17722721342419353156noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8866561274815317447.post-48136697361623512732011-11-07T13:00:00.001+01:002011-11-07T13:01:25.631+01:00Malfatto Mask

The file can be downloaded here.

This model was actually done in a spur of the moment. But I love it anyway! I am really happy with the outcome of this one ^^ Especially how well the glasses work! (for those who want to know, yes I can see through the glasses perfectly! I can even wear my own glasses underneath it!)

It may look weird around the chin, but if you look at the art, you will see it is supposed to go there ^^; The model is 35,1 cm wide! And done on 21 pages (22 if you count the optional parts)
The hat is the easiest part of this model. The mask isn't hard, but it requires a bit of patience with the 'nose' part.

I really love the Assassin's Creed games, so you can expect more of from this game soon!Lizzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17722721342419353156noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8866561274815317447.post-2805657047916175292011-10-27T20:48:00.002+02:002011-12-16T23:31:28.548+01:00Happy Halloween!

I wanted to make a model for halloween and well...here it is! But due to the fact that I've been unbelievably busy, I haven't been able to testbuild it ^^; But well...Halloween is coming up close and I wanted to share it before it was too late...so here it is anyway!

The model will be 20cm high and give or take the same in width. You can leave the bottom open and place a _FAKE_ candle in it to give it still that hollowed out pumpkin look. (remember...paper is flammable :P No real candles should go near it!)

Also: I know this model is the one you can use on your head in WoW, but since I do not have enough time for such a model (since I DO want to testbuild larger models before posting them) a smaller one it has become. I might upgrade it into a larger one someday, but until then...enjoy this small one!

If you find any problems in (hey, as said...no testbuild) please let me know and I'll fix them asap~!

And a new addition to this site can be seen on the right. A photoslideshow from other people building the models I post here. Please guys and girls, send me those finished photos ^^ I love to see them and be able to add them here!

Also, as always: Enjoy the build and if there are questions or photos about finished models, let me know!
Lizzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17722721342419353156noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8866561274815317447.post-58210236892726605622011-08-29T16:26:00.004+02:002011-12-16T23:30:35.440+01:00The head of Deathwing

(EDIT: for a PDF version, go here!)

Achievement unlocked! STOOD IN THE FIRE!

Yeah or not ^^; It wouldn't be all that easy to do to make this dragon breath out any fire. And it is not something I am planning on doing either. Nor would I like frying people with this lovely baby~!

The model is 46 cm wide (from horn to horn) and 57 cm long (from the jaw till the neck). I was planning on making it wearable but since I made a small miscalculation (I didn't think the mouth would run into the back that far) I decided to build LED's into it and also make the jaw movable. Check the short movie below to see it working~! (do not worry about sound...my voice is completely gone so I wasn't able to talk about the model in this movie anyway XD)

I gave myself a deadline for Abunai! 2011 to finish this one. (this is an anime/game convention in the Netherlands) and people were so damn amazingly enthusiastic about this papercraft. I honestly NEVER in my WILDEST DREAMS imagined having such an awesome response to this.

The reason I gave myself that deadline, was because I am holding papercraft workshops in that convention. Now mostly it is cubee crafting, but since we have only 2 hours during the workshops there isn't that much time to make a bigger papercraft. Nonetheless...the workshops went great, it was really a full house and it was awesome to see people responding to it that way.

Below are some photos that people took of me with the Deathwing papercraft as well as a few impression photos about the workshops that I found. All these photos are made by others, so the credit goes out to the respectful owners of the photo! As always: Enjoy the build and if there are questions or photos about finished models, let me know!Lizzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17722721342419353156noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8866561274815317447.post-7263387817168418632011-08-01T14:44:00.001+02:002011-08-01T14:44:57.811+02:00Teh Dragonslayah!Mmm, a little less than a month until Abunai! starts... I think that I timed my progression with Deathwing kinda neatly with it. I want it done before then and I just finished the unfolding. (46 pages!)
The only part I am still iffy about...I do not know where to put holes for me to look through XD So maybe I'll just...not look through it and only wear it for photos and fun. Carrying a death dragon head around has it's advantages too I guess!

The jaw is moved away from the actual model so that I can make it move. But...I am not sure yet on how to make it move when I talk :P I have a small clue, but if it works...not sure.

Also not sure on if I will actually upload this model for others to see once I am done with it. It all depends on how many people actually want to build it I guess (and if it is a good build)
Lemme know how you feel on that please!

Also...you can follow me on deviantart as well for my progression pics! (you can find me here: link )

I am still working on it though, but I haven't made enough progress on my own next project to post it here (and somehow I keep getting distracted by getting more own projects XD)

First of all, I am working on destro's Renamon (found here!)

I am currently at 4,25 pages done of the 23.

But then I got distracted again and began working on a tophat (found here!)
I finished that one though and even pimped it up!

So as you can see, I am still very much so alive ;)
You can also view my progress (and all it's photo's) through my DeviantArt and it's journal. The journal can be found here!
As seen there, I got several projects in the planning ^^

Enjoy the papercraft progress photo's (dubbed to PPP by me and Jouzu XD)Lizzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17722721342419353156noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8866561274815317447.post-13431368485351572692010-12-27T16:39:00.003+01:002011-12-16T23:31:42.724+01:00Uldum Urn

So, it has been quite a while since my last update, but well... I am pretty sure you all know how you got real life, work, a carcrash which causes more work to pay for a new car and WoW Cataclysm coming out that messes up with all your papercraft time...Just regular daily stuff XD

But about the model itself...well lets say you can expect some more Uldum stuff to come online here. I am absolutely in love with Uldum. The Egyptian style and all that makes me want to spend as much time there as possible and that naturally reflects into my papercraft.
I saw this urn on the modelviewer and I just had to make it. The model itself is quite easy to build, I made it so that it goes around in horizontal bands. The only tricky part are the snakeheads, which are the reason why this model comes out to 20 cm once build. This way you can work on the heads without too much of a problem

The model has an hollow point worked into it. This makes it quite suitable as a container for something. I used mine as a make-shift vase, but with fake flowers into it...paper doesn't hold water all that well XD Of course you could put some kind of plastic bag into it for the water, but meh this does the trick just as well!

Enjoy the build!Lizzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17722721342419353156noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8866561274815317447.post-19491173633116058152010-07-09T16:13:00.007+02:002011-12-16T23:29:41.926+01:00Rapid Dog Heartless

Download the files here.

Next model up is the Rapid Dog Heartless from Kingdom Hearts 2. This one wasn't actually in the plans, but I got an email from a friend of mine that works with the Dutch doujinshi circle OpenMinded. She asked if I could make a simple papercraft for their summer special. It had to be something weird and fun to make...and that resulted into this rapid dog! I had lots of fun making this, even though making a papercraft in 5 days is...not recommended. (Any weird tabs result to the 5 days thing).

I love this lil creature as it is in the game and I even love it as paper. It is now guarding my printer! You can make this thing either with an open mouth (like on the picture sorta) where you can see the tongue, or you can close the mouth completely...either with or without tongue, your choice!

If you come upon this site from the summer special of OpenMinded, please mail me (email can be found on the right) for the numbered version like in the special itself if needed. Otherwise, have fun building it the way you can find it here ;)

Everyone else wanting to build this thing, have fun as well! And as always, feel free to post comments or mail me the photo's of the finished thing!Lizzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17722721342419353156noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8866561274815317447.post-91060798195116778012010-06-04T17:09:00.003+02:002010-06-04T17:10:46.708+02:00Update on my big-ass projectAs I was saying in my previous post, I was actually working on something non-WoW and it was gonna be big-ass...and it would have been if not for too many problems I came upon --;

The project I was working on, was to make a Shiva from FF-X and I was gonna make her around 1 meter high. Not cause of the small details or so, but cause I love Shiva to pieces and just wanted a big one in my room ;)
But...unfortunately I will have to postphone it until WAAAAAAAY later. I am not gonna say I won't do it at all, since I DO want to make it, but until I know how to fix all the problems...It will be something that will be put off for quite some time ^^;

So, why postphoning it? Well quite simple...Her ice boob!
Hair and armlets that go into skin I can deal with, I have enough 3D experience to manage that...but then came the fact that quite a lot of the materials had to be see-through...Including the above mentioned ice boob... At the moment I just cannot think of any way to make this work without either deleting the thing (which would look weird since she would only have one breast then or a one and a half) or making the material NOT transparent...which would result in one breast being bigger than the other, which is ugly in my opinion. And then there is also the fact that I do not know HOW to fix a material in such a way.

If anyone can help me on this, thanks so much ^^ That would speed things up more than figuring things out all on my own.

Mmm, gotta see if I can find the FF8 version of her just so I can make a Shiva anyways XDLizzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17722721342419353156noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8866561274815317447.post-21799092713994919412010-06-03T18:49:00.001+02:002011-12-16T23:31:58.751+01:00Paper Zeppelin Toy

The file can be downloaded here.

This is the Paper Zeppelin Toy from World of Warcraft. Not the actual zeppelin or those spaceboats in Icecrown (Duh, those look differently) but just another toy you can buy in the game itself. I just love how it looks and I wanted to have a small project in between while I work on my ACTUAL next project...just see this as project 2.2 or so XD

Now for the model itself. While it is a quite simple model, you will have to figure out how to glue stuff together yourself because the .pdo file is NOT displaying the right glue-connections. I have no idea how to fix it, but I do know what causes it...namely the double sided stuff like the ropes and the basket. I put some tips on how certain stuff should be done in the .pdo itself so it should be self-explanatory. On how to glue everything together check out the preview .pdo file. If there are still any questions left, just lemme know ;)
Also, there are some OPTIONAL parts included. Namely the stuff on how I glued the propellors onto the zeppelin. I created these parts in Lightwave because I wanted the propellors to actually be able to move about when the wind blows (or when you blow at it). The parts MAY not fit precisely since they are custom made, but I put in a photo on how the end-result looks with the propellors as an example.

All this aside...I wish you all a fun building time ^^Lizzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17722721342419353156noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8866561274815317447.post-50469277800661277372010-05-20T18:42:00.001+02:002011-12-16T23:30:58.018+01:00WoW Bear

Another update, another model ;)

You can download the model here.

As my second model I did have something else in mind then this bear, but with some computer problems and me being sick for over a week I didn't have the puff to do it. So...here is a bear! I haven't seen it online anywhere yet so I thought I would make it. I do like the bears from World of Warcraft and I am aiming to get the spirit one for my hunter character. (Along with the spirit wolf, the Kurken and some others...) Hence why I build this one and not another color!

There are 10 textures included in the rar, including the spirit bear one. This one ISN'T originally going on this bear model though, so there are a few minor things that won't work out quite nicely (like the bottom of the paws and the bear butt not being see-through) but I edited the texture a bit to make it look sorta like the ingame version. No manes though, I think that is the only part about the model I do not like...so I made it without the mane XD

Have fun building this one and comments are always welcome ;)Lizzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17722721342419353156noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8866561274815317447.post-22508283728635688632010-04-20T23:38:00.005+02:002011-12-16T23:30:13.475+01:00Dragonstalker HelmetAnd here it is ^^ My very first papercraft model up for displays for others to see, download and make! The first model I decided to 'craft' for starters is the Dragonstalker Helmet from World of Warcraft. LIFESIZED! Oh how I love lifesized helmet and weapons, expect to see those more here ;)

(and yeah, the one wearing the helmet is me XD)

You can find the files here

The model itself is a pretty easy and straight forward build and you can easily see how it is done on the .pdo. Aside from that...there is another .pdo that has extra 'mohawk' parts. You can also print it all from the .pdf so that it has all the parts already in there.
Included in the file are also 3 texture models. So you can 'pimp' your helmet up if you want ;)

The right eye looks weird compaired to the left one, but somehow I couldn't change this the way I wanted to change it. There are also weird triangle shapes still left in the .pdo that used to be for the glow in the eyes. I know I could have removed these with some 3d program, but at the time I started building this...I had no clue XD (Only learned that just before actually posting this).

There are most likely a lot of stuff I could have done differently, better or shouldn't have done at all. If you come across any of such things, be sure to let me know so I know how to change them for the next one!

Enjoy the build!Lizzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17722721342419353156noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8866561274815317447.post-37018728566560551762010-04-15T22:30:00.001+02:002010-04-17T23:30:35.674+02:00Starting it all upSo, to start it off...First post for me, yay XD

Welcome to Winged Crafts. I decided to make this blog to post the papercraft models I am gonna be making from now on. While I haven't finished one yet, I am in the progress of making one and I am testbuilding it now to check out if everything is posed just right. Good thing I did too, found out a few flaps were missing in the first few pages XD Yay for testbuilding!

I'm still new to the whole making my own models though and while I had help on understanding things from the awesome ninjatoes, I would love to get all the other help I can get as well as tips on how to improve the models I post. Don't be shy to point out the problems ;)

Also, if anyone wants some model made, shout it out and I might think about it ;)

While this may be the first post on this blog, I have my fair share of building other people's models and I will post the finished results of the ones I make from now on alongside the models I make of my own. Might make another blog or so for that though, not quite sure on it yet.

Keep your eyes op on this and we'll see when the first model will pop up ^^
Edit:
It will most likely be another week and a half, maybe 2 before my first model will be viewed online. I made a mistake in the texture I put on it and now I have to restart the whole testbuilding which is a setback of a few days. Now that wouldn't be that bad, but I won't be around to test build it at all upcoming week --; Lizzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17722721342419353156noreply@blogger.com0
